Waltham-based Knowledge Management Associates (KMA), a Microsoft Portals and Collaboration Gold-Certified consulting firm, has named Derek Cash-Peterson as the SharePoint Practice Lead.
Previously, Peterson has worked with Boston’s BigBad as SharePoint Web Development Manager. He managed a team of developers in building external-facing SharePoint sites.
Prior to joining KMA, he was at New England BioLabs, Inc. performing a variety of SharePoint-related projects.
The company expects Peterson to help KMA’s SharePoint Practice team develop a well-defined architecture standards, strong site designs, and an exceptional user experience.
Additionally, Peterson is expected be an ongoing resource to the New England SharePoint community. Company officials said that for the company, Peterson will help identify key partnership opportunities, maintain Microsoft (News
- Alert) technical relations and expand KMA’s SharePoint Branding, Extranet, and ‘www’ site offerings.
KMA provides consulting and support services to Microsoft customers across New England, designing, building, and implementing tailored solutions that make businesses more insightful, collaborative, and productive.
Recently, KMA announced that it achieved two Microsoft Silver Level Competencies. Company officials said that KMA has reached the Microsoft Partner Network’s (MPN) Silver Level competencies as an Independent Software Vender (ISV) and Midmarket Solution Provider.
The Microsoft Partner Network is designed to equip organizations that deliver products and services through the Microsoft platform with the training, resources and support they need to provide their customers superior experience and outcomes.
