The Illinois Railway Museum (IRM), a not-for profit organization that preserves and underlines the important role railroads have played in the growth of the United States, is now using DLS Internet Services’ hosted PBX (News - Alert) to better communicate with train fans.
Sam Rozenfeld, CEO at DLS Internet Services, said that in this day and age unified communications are critical to success of any business operation. He said that the company is thrilled to help America’s Largest Railroad History organization, members of which have close ties with the company.
“It gives us great pleasure to be contributing to this great and noble effort of preserving the memory of vital role railroads have played in the growth of our country,” Rozenfeld said.
With DLS Hosted PBX, IRM can route calls intelligently, reduce costs and leverage existing campus data network infrastructure, according to company officials.
Thanks to the deployment, the museum now has access to a variety of new voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) hard and soft handset options and also many advanced Hosted PBX features such as interactive voice response (IVR), advanced call director, follow-me, call recording, conferencing, E-Fax, predictive dialer, voicemail to e-mail, and more.
The calls can now be dynamically and intelligently routed to remote staff members and volunteers.
In addition to subsidizing the cost of the VoIP Hosted PBX, DLS has also donated the use of its co-location facilities and high-speed Internet connectivity for the past 10 years. With DLS’ co-location facility, railway museum can operate its vital systems without spending time or money on maintenance and/or purchase of their own Data Center infrastructure.
DLS Internet Services is a provider of hosted PBX, data center co-location and network consulting services for small and medium size businesses (SMBs).
