TransNexus (News - Alert) is a company that provides a wide variety of services. One such technology partner is Acme Packet (News - Alert).

This TransNexus partner specializes in providing session border controllers, and recently debuted a series of products for its session delivery portfolio. At its annual interconnect customer conference. Acme Packet unveiled a virtualization-based session border controller system that is available for both service providers and enterprises.

These systems, the Net-Net Enterprise Session Director-Virtual Machine Edition and the Net-Net Session Director-Virtual Machine Edition will allow enterprises and service providers to optimize their network architectures using Acme Packet software on either a dedicated or virtualized server. Also at the event, Acme Packet showed off its Net-Net SIP Multimedia Xpress service, which can consolidate up to eight IP Multimedia Subsystem (News - Alert) functions along with the SBC, creating one single platform.

One new capacity that was demonstrated was the ability to deploy SMX in virtual, cloud infrastructures, supporting VoIP, rich communications suites and Voice over LTE (News - Alert) services. Acme Packet also introduced the Net-Net 7000, which is a platform designed to support its Net-Net Diameter Director and Net-Net Session Router line of products. This consists of the Acme Packet Net-Net operating system installed on a third-party server for the purpose of processing software. Net-Net 7000 is optimized for core SIP and diameter routing, which should let service providers build enhanced signaling cores.
