This information comes in a release from the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organization, which revealed two contract notices, one from Warwickshire and the other from the Cambridge City Council, outlining plans to purchase ICT services.

The Warwickshire service may soon be opened up for use by other public sector bodies in the United Kingdom, including central government departments and educational institutions. The contract will last for two years.

The Cambridge City Council is looking to establish a contract for the support of its own ICT operational environment, including support for server operations, networks, database administration, desktops and applications.
