TransNexus (News - Alert) and BroadSoft have teamed on offering Unified Communications over their Internet Protocol network.
BroadSoft provides software and services that enable mobile, fixed-line, and cable service providers; and TransNexus is a software development company specializing in applications for managing wholesale VoIP networks.
As a result of this partnership, TransNexus has released SDReporter 4.0, a new version of its best-selling reporting and fraud detection software, SDReporter, which is compatible with BroadSoft and Acme Packet (News - Alert).
Working as a complete Call Detail Record (CDR) reporting and analysis solution, SDReporter 4.0 provides sixty-five web based reports on quality of service, call signaling, and fraud detection.
This innovative fraud detection system is user friendly and checks for suspicious patterns in call traffic. It immediately sends SNMP and email alarms when fraud thresholds are triggered.
“We are excited to partner with TransNexus in order to address a very real problem for our service provider customers,” said Leslie Ferry, vice president marketing, BroadSoft (News - Alert). “We look forward to TransNexus demonstrating these capabilities at our annual users’ conference, BroadSoft Connections.”
SDReporter 4.0 was showcased at BroadSoft Connections 2012: Unleash the Possibilities at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona, October 21-24.
In addition to other benefits, the SDReporter 4.0 prevents the Call Transfer Fraud scheme, which is perpetrated by hacking into a SIP device and then using that device to place expensive outbound calls. This scheme typically impacts service providers as the fraudulent call is transferred to a SIP trunk outside of the calling customer’s trunk group.
TransNexus was recently in news when it was selected by FUSE 3 Communications to expand their IT offerings to include hosted PBX (News - Alert) service.
