Recently, master agent MegaPath (News - Alert) revealed that it was adding some new tools to its Partner Portal, giving their partners plenty of previously unrealized utility. The robust tools revolve mainly around providing quotes, filing orders, and offering support for the products offered by the managed service provider.
The Partner Portal now includes a newly-revamped Quote Tool, which in turn allows for online price checking without the need to have a representative around. Partners can also check availability listings as well as prices at specific locations and any pending quotes outstanding in the system. This gives MegaPath's partners added flexibility, and brings into play the ability to work remotely, at least partially independent of the schedules of agents.
Next up is MegaPath's Enhanced Order Status Tracking system, giving partners the ability to search current orders and pending orders to get updates on status. The system can also generate custom reports and create recurring reports, allowing for regular status updates and the ability to constantly keep apprised of order status.
Additionally, the master agent introduced the Self-Bulk Pre-Qualification system, allowing for, as the name implies, bulk pre-qualifications to be filed by spreadsheet. Results of the pre-qualification are sent back by e-mail, thus allowing users to quickly know their status at any given time.
MegaPath also installed a Customer Support Ticket Tracking system, boosting transparency and accountability in the system and giving partners a way to create, search and view their own customer support tickets. Provision has even been made for escalation of said tickets, accessible to partners themselves.
The new capabilities are currently available on MegaPath's Partner Portal and will likely provide plenty of added value for current MegaPath partners.
The idea of adding value is what truly makes a proposition worthwhile, especially in a slumping economy. Regardless of the conditions, things are still needed and the companies that make the sales and get the partners will be those that can show themselves, visibly, to have the best value. Master agent MegaPath looks to have put itself on, indeed, a path of its own to higher sales and more and better partner arrangements.
