TMC (News - Alert) has selected iAreaOffice, iAreaNet's cloud-based "desktop-in-the-cloud" business communications suite, as a recipient of the 2012 INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award, presented by TMC’s INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.
International Data Corporation (IDC) confirms that as the trend toward the cloud and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) continues, worldwide spending on public IT cloud services are projected to be more than $40 billion this year alone.
A compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 26.4 percent – five times that of the IT industry overall – is expected to approach $100 billion in 2016. IDC (News - Alert) expects at least 80 percent of the industry's growth by the end of the decade and forecasts cloud services to drive the highest-value leverage of IT by enterprises and small- and medium-sized businesses (SMB).
“For VARs, a solution like iAreaOffice can be a critical addition to their portfolio," said James deCrescenzo, CEO at iAreaNet.
As stated by James deCrescenzo, cloud-based delivery models are known to reduce costs and bolster functionality, thus SMBs and enterprises alike are implementing them for software. For a holistic solution to meet market demand and gain more share of wallet inside the small/medium enterprise or SMB, VARs looks to combining iAreaOffice with traditional IT services like LAN installation and security implementations.
In order to deliver a best-in-class IT communications portfolio that can be merged with data and mobile connectivity, a solution that controls the benefits of the cloud service delivery model is provided by iAreaOffice to businesses, VARs and agents.
The latest version of Microsoft (News - Alert) Office containing Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is included in the secure "office-in-the-cloud" suite. QuickBooks, Saga, Amicus, Fireworks or Dreamweaver can also be integrated to be delivered as a service.
Hosted on iAreaNet's powerful servers, CRM and custom applications can be developed and delivered by iAreaNet's programmers as well.
iAreaNet will be exhibiting in Austin, Texas, on Oct. 2-5 at the CVx ChannelVIsion Expo, and on October 4 at 12:30 – 1:15pm, James deCrescenzo will bring his expertise to a panel discussion on Public Clouds vs. Virtual Private Clouds.
