StartMeeting Streamlines Communications for the Master Agent

Master agents have a new proprietary tool at their disposal. StartMeeting, a collaborative communications solution that serves businesses and individuals around the globe, has an account-provisioning functionality that can automate account tracking for the master agent, as well as subagents.

According to this Channel Partners Online report, a master agent simply sets up the StartMeeting solution over the Internet and can then assist subagents in gaining access to Web conferencing from StartMeeting. A company representative recently said the new automated account tracking and commissions-payment reporting tools were developed with the master agent in mind. The service offers the master agent total control of the tools and distribution to subagents.

The streamlined process involves the master agent setting up registration, customizing the personal meeting page for meetings, and distributing invites to participants. The user has a variety of controls at their fingertips with StartMeeting’s audio conferences. 

The meeting dashboard lists the numbers of participants in a pop-up menu, and dialing a toll free number for free dialing, integrated, high definition VoIP option is available at no charge. Users can also customize the audio’s greeting and hold music. There is an extra charge for custom greetings and hold music of $2 per month per item. 

The master agent also has the ability to customize conference settings. On the meeting wall, there are several tabs that let the user see the meeting resources, history and recordings, and audio settings where the entry and exit tones can be turned on or off. The user also has the option of putting a time limit on how long the conference waits for the host or continues without the host, and settings in the interface show the announce caller count and in-call caller count.

Users can access the telephone keypad to hear how many participants are in the conference. The keypad can also be used to create sub conferences, go into lecture mode, disable chimes, lock the conference for more security, conduct a question and answer session, and record the conference. Recording allows the master agent to have a permanent record of the meeting at no extra cost. They simply log into StartMeeting as a host and use the keypad to record, confirm the recording, and stop the recording.

Companies today rely on a mass of data to drill down on their business processes. StartMeeting gives the master agent a complete call detail report to keep tabs on their call summaries. The report is automatically e-mailed to the host after each conference. It shows the type of service the participant used (landline, iPad, smartphone, etc.), start time, end time, call duration, and total number of minutes and total number of participants for accurate summaries and billing.

In an environment where instant communications are critical, data can easily be lost when not captured or managed correctly. StartMeeting provides an optimal environment when face-to-face communications for the master agent are not possible or the norm.
