Internap Expands Partner Program

End users seeking access to additional IT services will benefit from a recent Internet Network Services Corp. announcement. The company has implemented changes to its partner program to extend capabilities to additional types of end users. The master agent seeking to extend a broader portfolio to match the needs of the client is sure to flock to this opportunity.

The first leg of the change starts with updated contracts that allow the master agent to select the program and compensation that best suits the needs of their business. Two partner programs are now available: Referral and Performance. The former is designed for partners who are not seeking an opportunity to serve as an agent or reseller, but instead wants to make a one-time commission on a referral.

The Performance partner gains access to all of the services offered by Internap (News - Alert), such as hosting, cloud, Internet connectivity, colocation and CDN. According to Internap, the programs and portfolio offerings the company has designed are positioned as meeting the needs of a broader range of partners, including data center and cloud migration firms, MSPs, VARs, traditional telecom agents and web developers.

A dedicated, global channel sales team for agents has also been formed within Internap. This new team will oversee the training and onboarding of new partners, and other types of engagement. Internap also launched a new portal for partners to leverage agent lead submission and overall management.

Stephen Callahan, vice president of global strategic channels at Internap, shared that the company recognizes the significant of all sales channels as they continue to drive the adoption of its hybrid IT infrastructure portfolio. Agent partners are an important route to market and the company is excited about the potential associated with delivering its go-to-market strategy through continued commitment and investment in a proven partner program. Internap will continue to support partners in the U.S. and throughout the global marketplace.

Partners included in Internap's program include Business Communications Management, Avant Communications, Bridgepointe Technologies, Converged Network Services Group, COLOPeople, Colotraq, Global Communications Networks, Servergy, Presidio, Simplify, StrataCore and others.

Partners and the master agent benefits from any program extension as it provides them with additional resources to appeal to the customer base.
