Everyone’s heard the old axiom, “The race goes to the swiftest” (and every variation of that saying, as well), because it’s usually true. Those that stand on the sidelines and wait for the perfect opportunity usually miss all opportunities that might have come their way.
But then there are the more successful companies, which recognize a good thing when they see it. That might be why WOW! Business, a communications and cloud service provider, has just signed an agreement with Telarus (News - Alert), Inc., master agent of business data, voice, cloud and data-center services. “The master agent arrangement allows WOW! Business to accelerate business development activity using services provided by Telarus,” both companies said in a joint release.
For those unaware, WOW! Business [The exclamation point is part of their company name] provides IP-based network, data, voice and cloud services for small and mid-sized businesses, as well as enterprise, government and wholesale customers. Wow! owns and operates more than 40,000 miles of local fiber-optic and coaxial networks in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest which, along with its data centers, provide customers with scalable, low-latency access to national carrier backbones.
Telarus, as its current customers know, is a value-added distributor of network, unified communications, and cloud services with a focus on creating unique value for its partners. The company is the author and patent holder for GeoQuote, the world's first real-time commercial telecom pricing software, and this new partnership will add value to both companies.
“Telarus is excited to partner with WOW! Business, one of the most dynamic service providers in the country,” said Adam Edwards, president and co-founder of Telarus, in a statement announcing the deal. “Through our unique software and processes dedicated to the efficient management of the sales cycle, we maximize the effectiveness of agent partners, allowing our service provider partners to concentrate on their core business.”
Those at Wow! Business were equally effusive about the deal.
“This master agent agreement consolidates and manages the activities of multiple sales agents who are selling our services,” said Ken Worcester, VP of channel sales at the company. “We are pleased to partner with Telarus, one of the top value-added distributors in the United States.”
