Fans of the Star Wars series of films are excitedly awaiting the latest episode this coming December, to see what the Empire and the Alliance have been up to in recent years. But closer to home, another brand of ‘Alliance’ is also making news.
The Alliance Partners, a channel partner industry organization that brings together agents, VARs, managed service providers, IT consultants and cloud specialists, announced recently that it has welcomed Verizon (News - Alert) master Agent Kingcom as a new member and shareholder.
Kingcom – based out of Portland, Ore. -- is a Verizon Platinum Partner technology provider in the U.S., offering a nationwide footprint with the entire Verizon product suite, including Verizon mobility solutions. Through its new membership in the Alliance, Kingcom partners will gain access to a wider portfolio of communications technologies and suppliers.
“We are very excited about our inclusion into the Alliance Partners,” said Bob DeKoning, Kingcom CEO. “The Alliance is hugely valuable to our business because of the breadth of experience, industry knowledge and access they bring to us. This gives us important insight into many industry best practices and additional negotiating leverage with the carriers.”
But the partnership is a two-way street. Kingcom brings with it a deep level of expertise in sales support to its affiliation with the Alliance. The company supports its partners' sales efforts with a high level of product education and training, especially when it comes to Verizon offerings, a benefit that has not gone unnoticed.
“I could not be happier to welcome Kingcom to the Alliance,” said Bill Power, CEO of the Alliance. “Its extensive footprint of Verizon partners, and unique fluency with telco solutions in particular, brings a valuable, added perspective on best practices to our collective knowledge base. I’m looking forward to Bob’s contributions and to having Kingcom as part of our exclusive member roster.”
The new partnership is effective immediately.
