Telarus Finalizes NOC and Launches Free Broadband Circuit Monitoring Service

A network operations center (NOC (News - Alert)) is essential for administrators to supervise, monitor and maintain their network. It is the hub for network troubleshooting, performance monitoring, router and domain name management, software distribution and updating, and coordination with affiliated networks.  The announcement of the completion of its NOC by master agent Telarus now means it will be able to monitor the different network functionalities across the customer base of its partners and agents.

The value of the NOC to Telarus (News - Alert) was expressed by Patrick Oborn, co-founder of the company, as told to Channel Partners. "Creating a NOC to monitor our partner's customer's circuits has always been a dream of ours and, frankly, something our partners have been asking for quite some time,” he said.

The completion of the NOC also allowed the company to launch a free broadband circuit monitoring service to help its partners. Oborn went on to say, “By adding circuit monitoring to all of their [the partners] proposals, they will surely stand out and improve their odds of winning the business."

Whether it is large enterprises or network operators, the ability to have eyes on the network at all times is extremely important. Today’s networks are the bloodline for businesses, and any disruption, no matter how small, can result in negative customer perception and loss of business.

According to Telarus, with its broadband notification service it will create an alert system to notify everyone across the value chain. This includes the customer, the agent attached to the customer and a third-party MSP. Additionally if it is requested, Telarus staff will announce notification when they detect a failed or unreliable broadband connection.

When Telarus acquired the VXSuite software platform in September of this year, it probably wasn’t expecting to get returns this quickly. However, VXPulse, a network-performance application built to monitor the performance of voice on data networks, is what is powering the company’s NOC.

The VXSuite modules have a range of tools that deliver actionable business intelligence on the status of the ecosystem organization have deployed. The modular approach makes it possible for customers and partners to address the assets that are more important to them without the limitations of past service models. With VXSuite they can move at any pace, budget, training, discipline, needs and understanding they are comfortable with.

The broadband circuit monitoring service is available for all Telarus partners across all of its service providers.
