Gender diversity is a hot topic in all areas of business today, so it makes sense that it would be a draw for those in technology as well. That message will be driven home in March as Women in the Channel (WiC) has announced that Telarus (News - Alert), a top master agent and owner of VXSuite, will be a platinum sponsor at the 11th WiC Networking and Enrichment Event during the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.
The event is expected to draw approximately 200 attendees and will include peer networking and a progress report on WiC’s many initiatives. The event’s theme, “Go Big with Gender Diversity”, will feature a gender-diverse panel discussion on the benefits of fostering female leadership. In addition, WiC will open this event to men in the channel on an invitation-only basis in order to foster greater understanding and collaboration. The event is scheduled to take place from 5-8 p.m. on March 15 in Galileo 1001 at the Venetian Sands Expo & Convention Center. One of the panelists will be Telarus co-founder Patrick Oborn.
“Telarus is thrilled to participate with Women in the Channel in such a big way,” said Oborn. “I look forward to participating on the panel and highlighting the important role women play in our company and in the industry.”
The WiC organization was equally thrilled.
“Women in the Channel events would not be possible without the generosity of sponsors like Telarus,” said WiC President Hilary Gadda, director of the partner program at TelePacific Communications (News - Alert). “We sincerely appreciate the efforts of companies like Telarus that help to shine on a spotlight on our industry’s hard-working women.”
The Women in the Channel Networking Event is open to all women attending the Channel Partners event. It is free to all WiC members and $20 for non-members.
