Cloud communications and collaboration provider RingCentral (News - Alert) has announced that it has extended its channel program and appointed a new vice president of channel sales.
“Our entire company is determined to make 2016 the year we substantially enhance our partner program into a world-class channel program that would be the model for other cloud-based companies,” Ryan Azus, RingCentral senior vice president of worldwide sales, said. “As a company, we plan to invest and work closely with channel partners to ensure our mutual success.”
The company already has extensive relationships with companies such as TechData, Westcon-Comstor (News - Alert), IngramMicro and Jenne as well as over 300,000 customers worldwide, but it is always looking to do better.
RingCentral will particularly focus on its master agent program. The company has overhauled its collaboration policy. For projects that involve 50 or more users, the company will now dedicate a subject matter expert to the team who will work on all aspects of closing the deal, including provisioning, implementation and customer service.
The company credits its success to its harmonious relationships with its channel partners, contrasted with the contentious relationships a lot of other companies have.
RingCentral will also add master agents, which will give it access to even more smaller sub-agents in turn, broadening its potential customer base.
True to its commitment to channel partners, the company has also appointed Zane Long as new vice president of channel sales.
Long has worked for RingCentral for 13 years as well as serving as vice president of Vonage’s (News - Alert) global strategic partner group and Cbeyond’s national vice president of channel sales. Expanding the company’s master agent program is mainly his initiative.
“Enterprises of every type are realizing that cloud communication solutions are best positioned to support the modern workforce,” Long said. “As we see increased demand from our customers in the U.S. and abroad, engaging and working with the channel on a global scale will be absolutely critical to RingCentral’s continued growth. RingCentral has long been a pioneer in bringing the benefits of interoperability and cloud-based business communications to the enterprise, and I’m excited to help support our channel partners in this expansion.”
