XO Communications, a provider of advanced broadband communications services and solutions, is expanding its metro Ethernet network across the Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minn. area, more than doubling its addressable market across the metropolitan area.
With this announcement, XO Communications (News
- Alert) expands its services across the Twin Cities’ northern and eastern suburbs including Anoka, Blaine, Crystal, Fridley, Maplewood, New Brighton and Shoreview, and adds 190 route miles to the XO metro network.
XO Communications has also deployed Ethernet over copper technology more broadly across its network in the Twin (News - Alert) Cities in order to make scalable, high-speed Ethernet services more widely available to businesses, company officials said.
The network expansion enables the company to serve thousands of new businesses and offer them a more competitive alternative for their local and nationwide communications and networking needs through its award-winning hosted VoIP and managed network solutions and exceptional customer experience.
The company offers cloud communications, hosted VoIP and SIP trunking solutions to help enterprises simplify, streamline and reduce the costs of managing and enabling next generation communications applications.
In February, TMCnet reported that XO Communications dipped into the cloud communications solution market with the launch of XO Enterprise Cloud Communications, a highly scalable, enterprise-grade, IP communications service.
XO Communications’ application-aware wide area network solutions securely connect multiple locations and support a broad range of voice, video, data and applications using MPLS IP-VPN or Ethernet VPLS services.
The company also offers high-speed Internet access, network and data center connectivity solutions that help enterprises deliver mission-critical data, information and network traffic between locations and data centers at speeds up to 40 Gbps.
