Governments need top-quality network tools too, and FiberLight (News - Alert) has long-time experience with the market, which gives them the insight they need to know what government agencies need, company officials say.
Over the past 15 years, FiberLight has sold optical transport tools to government organizations. “We have designed, implemented, and managed customized products for governments around the world, including federal and state government agencies in the U.S. and more than 20 other countries,” company officials say.
It comes down to understanding that agencies must ensure that their critical network infrastructure is designed to meet the agency’s mission, FiberLight officials say, “cost-effective tools for challenging network requirements, including successful implementations for defense and civilian needs.”
FiberLight officials explain that their network optimization products help agencies use their telecom dollars well during the transition of requirements to the Networx contract, adding that agencies “can access FiberLight through their Networx provider.”
Three areas of offerings were highlighted by company officials recently:
Advanced data. With their networking and the supporting IT infrastructure, company officials say they can help a government agency be more productive.
Security. The company’s product offerings are designed to cover networks and provide comprehensive assessments for an agency’s processes, procedures, employee access and identity management.
Managed offerings. To help reduce an organization’s IT burnout and keep people focused on mission critical objectives.
Last week, TMCnet reported that Juniper Networks (News
- Alert) announced that FiberLight selected Juniper Networks MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers to deliver its dedicated IP platform.
FiberLight relied on IBM (News
- Alert) for its design and engineering expertise to implement the new network infrastructure.
Drawing on their strong global alliance, Juniper Networks and IBM worked together to design a complete, open, pre-architected, pre-integrated and pre-tested infrastructure, based on Juniper's MX Series edge routers. This let FiberLight bundle its core fiber network product with high-speed Internet connectivity on a single, consolidated network, allowing FiberLight to offer its customers secure and resilient network services that can scale to meet changing demand at competitive price points.
