Multinational corporation (MNC) customers of Singapore-based SingTel (News - Alert) will now be able to enjoy scalable high-speed connections worldwide thanks to the company having deployed Cisco’s Multiprotocol Label Switching-Transport Profile (MPLS-TP) technology supporting its ConnectPlus E-Line service.

By opting for Cisco’s Carrier Packet Transport solution, SingTel will benefit from a network that couples both packet and transport domains making it highly manageable, scalable, and flexible thus ensuring robust support for both current and future services. The company will also make it easy for business enterprises to quickly scale up connectivity requirements based on their needs.
Using MPLS-TP, SingTel will be able to ensure that its customers can address varying network topology demands irrespective of factors such as locations, traffic conditions, and bandwidth needs. Because MPLS-TP offers predictable resiliency and simplicity in service provisioning, SingTel will be able to comply with its customers business needs quickly without overstepping service level agreements.
