MobileIron, the innovator in mobile device management and security, is all set to take part in the Android Developers' Sandbox at Google (News - Alert) I/O, that will take place on May 10 and 11, at Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif.

The only enterprise security and app management company at Google I/O, MobileIron will showcase its new Enterprise App Storefront features which allow companies to configure, distribute and secure Android (News - Alert) apps.

"Google I/O brings together creative, innovative companies and people all of whom are committed to creating an amazing Android user experience and community," said Bryan Pelham, MobileIron's director of product management for Android, in a press release. "We are especially pleased to be participating in the Android Developer Sandbox because our goal is to help multi-national companies welcome Android into their enterprise."

Managing some of the largest enterprise mobile deployments in the world, MobileIron is solving the problems CIOs face as business data and applications move to smart phones and tablets. It has also been positioned in the Leaders quadrant of Gartner’s (News - Alert) Magic Quadrant for Mobile Device Management Software 2011.

The MobileIron Virtual Smartphone Platform is the first solution to give IT and users real-time intelligence and control over mobile content, activity, and apps in order to secure the enterprise, reduce wireless cost, and improve the mobile user experience.

In related news, MobileIron recently launched a Mobile Device Management channel on TMCnet that will address issues important to decision-makers in the data-driven device management market.
