Observatory Crest to Distribute Mobile Device Management Solutions for MobileIron

A mobile device management deal has been struck between Observatory Crest and MobileIron. As a result of this new partnership, Observatory Crest is set to distribute mobile device management and security solutions offered by MobileIron in the ANZ enterprise markets.

 According to this Reseller report, there has been a noted trend within the enterprise sector when it comes to mobile devices. Observatory Crest director Martin Christmas noted this trend has been an explosion in Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD) within the enterprise and IT departments are struggling to keep up with the challenges this trend presents. 

MobileIron provides the mobile device management necessary to address this challenge. This partnership ensures that Observatory Crest’s reseller network offers the necessary channel to reach these enterprise users. 

With the new agreement between the companies firmly in place, Observatory Crest is ready to distribute the product and provide resellers with specialist training and technical support skills. The company will also assist with ongoing maintenance services. 

The new agreement covers the full range of MobileIron’s mobile device management solutions, including the MobileIron Virtual Smartphone Platform. With a new distributor in place, the company is likely to enjoy a broader reach as both Observatory Crest and MobileIron take advantage of growing opportunities in the mobile device management space. 

Tim Youm, MobileIron’s head of technical sales, shared that mobile device management is becoming a mainstream enterprise IT issue. By partnering with Observatory Crest, MobileIron now works with a company that understands this issue and can help get mobile device management products to market through the reseller network. 

Youm went on to stress that Observatory Crest is known for a strong level of technical and marketing support provided to its partners. MobileIron is excited to have the opportunity to leverage those capabilities as the company continues to expand its business in the Australian and New Zealand region. 

In other mobile device management news, TMCnet recently reported that MobileIron plans to be in attendance at this year’s Cisco Live, taking place from July 11-14 in Las Vegas. A leader in Gartner (News - Alert) Inc.’s Magic Quadrant for Mobile Device Management 2011, MobileIron will ensure product experts are available each of the four days of the event to show participants how products work and answer any questions.
