The Wireless Broadband Mobility Solution category also had Wavelink Avalanche as a finalist. Best products and companies from all over the world are honored by the annual industry and peer recognition program, Golden Bridge Business Awards. A broad spectrum of industry voices formed the panel of 40 judges.
In a release, Jay Cichosz, VP of marketing at Wavelink said, "Both of these awards recognize innovation in categories that address common pain points for today's enterprises. With the number of smartphones and tablets being added to corporate networks, administrators are concerned with securing the devices and the corporate data as well as managing the use of data, voice, SMS and roaming services to optimize telecom spending."
According to Cichosz, enterprises are able to monitor, manage and set policies for these devices from a central web-based console with the help of Wavelink solutions.
Smartphones, tablets, rugged handhelds, mobile printers and wireless infrastructure can be configured, deployed and managed in a centralized manner with Wavelink Avalanche. This is possible as the solution works seamlessly across local and wide area networks. Apart from improving the productivity of mobile workers, the solution helps to increase network security. The total cost associated with owning and managing mobile devices and peripherals is also reduced with Wavelink Avalanche.
Past billing data can be analyzed by customers with the real-time expense management solution, Wavelink Avalanche Telicost. Real-time data on network and data usage is made available to organizations by Wavelink Avalanche Telicost. Organizations can therefore proactively manage their telecom and wireless costs. When devices are potentially about to incur higher costs, alerts are provided to mobile phone users and network administrators. The alerts are for roaming, plan overages, large data transfers and radically different or changing usage patterns.
