Apperian (News - Alert), a mobile application management (MAM) provider has just launched an “Instant On” program designed to eliminate the headaches associated with mobile device management (MDM).

The innovative program simplifies the process of mobile device management in a complex Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) environment, allowing for a significant increase in the overall deployment, management and security of mobile business apps.

With "Instant On," customers can immediately begin using the Enterprise App Service Environment (EASE) to address their mobile app management (MAM) needs, a press release revealed.

"There is no salesperson standing between the customer and the product. They simply sign up and go. When the time is right, and they would like to talk with an Apperian representative, we'll be there," said David Baeza, Apperian's chief marketing officer, in a statement.

The program is offered as part of a 30-day free trial period that gives businesses a full-featured version of EASE, allowing them to immediately use the HTML5 Catalog to test and deploy apps, or upload their native iOS and Android (News - Alert) apps.

Unlike many mobile device management products that require long sales cycles, premise-based hardware and onerous end user control, Apperian's EASE platform offers a self-service, cloud-based and "Instant On" solution, giving customers the freedom to explore the best options for their end users.

TMCnet recently reported that according to MobileIron, another mobile device management company, 2012 will be the year of the enterprise app which includes apps that are built by the enterprise as well as apps that workers are bringing in en masse on smartphones and tablets on both corporate and personally-owned devices.

The second trend for the New Year, reflected by MobileIron, is how fast corporations are deserting their corporate owned blackberry devices. Lastly, the desktop/laptop upgrade cycle is quickly moving to tablets for ultra-portability and leverage of apps.
