Fiberlink provides software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) solutions for secure mobile device and application management and recently made an announcement that their MaaS360 solution is now being used by O2 (News - Alert) Business for the “Joined Up People” service. Through utilizing the MaaS360 solution, O2 clients will be able to take full advantage of the holistic, cloud-based mobile device management (MDM) platform without needing to implement and manage new server hardware and software.
O2 Business’s “Joined Up People” is a set of services aimed at helping companies increasing flexibility, as well as raising efficiency in the workplace. With MaaS360 now available to O2 Business clients, they will be able to locate every one of the devices in their company, enabling them to apply policy regulations and get email access controls. They will also be able to provide security and lock and wipe devices remotely. With an easy over-the-air device enrollment and a speedy approval process, IT will now be able to give their employees quick secured access to company data with MaaS360.
In a release, David Plumb, head of Enterprise for O2 said in a statement, “As a cloud-based service, MaaS360 provides O2 Business customers with the fastest way to gain secure mobile control with no additional on-premise hardware required to install and manage smartphones and tablets. MaaS360 is a key component of Joined Up People, enabling us to provide a range of services to customers without changing significant IT infrastructure, which ultimately means that an easier implementation of a flexible working proposition.”
MaaS360 will assist organizations in expanding their suite of mobile operating systems including Apple iOS, Android (News - Alert) BlackBerry and the Windows Phone.
