MobileIron, which provides mobile device management solutions to enterprises, has just revraled that Wireless Analytics, a wireless mobility management services firm, has seen accelerated adoption of mobile device management solutions among its clients.
Back in 2011, Wireless Analytics partnered with MobileIron when the company realized the great opportunity in mobility management in enterprises, created by the surge of smartphones and iPads. To meet the demands of its customers, Wireless Analytics then implemented MobileIron’s mobile device management solution to help its clients deploy, support and lock iPads and other devices for mobile workers.
Since that time, Wireless Analytics has seen a dramatic surge in the demand for mobility management solutions.
Many businesses have purchased or plan to purchase tablets in 2012 to support mobile workforce. The rate of enterprise adoption of tablets in the past 12 months was at 70 or at 83 percent. An overwhelming majority (94 percent) of those tablets used by enterprises are iPads.
“The inquiries trickled in at first,” said Wireless Analytics Founder and Managing Director Erik Eames, in regards to assisting his enterprise clients deploy mobile workers with secure iPad and iPhone (News - Alert) set-ups. “But they’ve become an almost daily occurrence now.”
In Q1 2012, Wireless Analytics has seen an increasing demand for MobileIron’s robust solutions. In fact, the company has seen as many deployments of MobileIron in the first six weeks of 2012 as they had in the entire year of 2011. “We expect a 3x increase in MobileIron deployments for all of 2012,” Eames added.
MobileIron allows companies to deploy iPhones and iPads by bridging the gap between the security that the IT department needs and the experience that end-users demand. MobileIron also provides mobile device and app management for major smartphone and tablet operating systems including Android, BlackBerry (News - Alert), iOS, Symbian, webOS, and Windows Phone.
