NQ Mobile Releases NQ Enterprise Shield to Protect and Manage Employees Devices

By Monica Gleberman, Contributing Writer

As technology advances, the line between work and home is almost non-existent. A major trend for employees at this time is BYOD or the bringing of their own devices, whether it is a laptop or smartphone, into the office while using the corporate network. However, by storing business information on a personal device that leaves the office could cause security risks for not only the employee, but for the employer as well. This is where mobile device management solutions come into play.

NQ Mobile (News - Alert), a provider of mobile Internet services focusing on security, privacy, and productivity, realized the risks involved with personal devices and has unveiled its new mobile security solution called NQ Enterprise Shield. This new solution will allow businesses to implement an ultra high level of protection for smartphones and other mobile devices from third party hackers.

“With the launch of NQ Enterprise Shield, NQ Mobile is bringing our leading mobile security technology and innovations to meet the mobile security demands of enterprise customers and their employees globally,” said Gavin Kim, chief product officer of NQ Mobile.

NQ Enterprise Shield is very simple to install. The company downloads the software and then provides employees with an activation code to allow them to download the solution on their mobile device. Once the program is downloaded, users will have access to three screens that will allow for users to provide health checkups on their device, see virus scan results and access to a fully functioning tools page.

According to NQ Mobile, its threat database is one of the largest in the world giving full protection to any user that signs up. The company said it currently has 172 active users as part of its mobile security team, allowing it to be the first to identify 75 percent of global mobile threats. The program also works for any device that gets lost or stolen as a user can easily lock the device or delete all of the data stored on it from just a click from a computer.

“We have been listening intently to our customers and our channel partners and recognize how critical NQ Enterprise Shield is to serving the needs of the enterprise market. Through addressing the needs of distribution partners and BYOD (bring your own devices) employees, NQ Mobile is providing real world solutions for the next generation mobile economy,” Kim concluded.
