SOTI Inc. has claimed that its MDM solution, ‘MobiControl’ has helped beverage distributor, Andrews, to overcome all the technical glitches their mobile workforce encounter while distributing beer to customers across America.
The technical solution has enabled Andrews’ officers to manage, support and monitor the mobile devices of its workforce in real-time. As a result of which, the distributor says it has been successful in delivering goods well on time.
Andrews Distributing is one of the largest beer distributors in the U.S., so the timely delivery of beverages is its fundamental challenge.
Following the success, hundreds of mobile workers of Andrews are now carrying tablet computers and smartphones equipped with SOTI MobiControl.
Earlier, SOTI said, Andrews’ workers would struggle to resolve the glitches on their mobile devices leading to disruption in distribution.
“Prior to the implementation of SOTI MobiControl, mobile workers experienced downtime and frustrations due to the malfunctioning of their mobile devices, delaying the delivery process,” the company stated.
MobiControl is said to have many advanced capabilities to manage the mobile device from a central location and can even lockdown the device if necessary.
Another feature that Andrews uses is SOTI MobiControl's screen kiosk capability. This feature allows the IT team to easily control which applications users are allowed to access on the mobile devices. This improves the productivity of the mobile workforce by giving them access to work-related applications only.
In other words, the MDM solution is helping Andrews offer assistance to resolve technical issues its workers encounter on the road.
"MobiControl folders are a fantastic feature for Andrews Distributing. Simply drop a device into an appropriate group folder and the device is instantly wiped, cleaned and freshly installed to 'Andrews-factory specified' functionality,” said Scott Jenkins, Information Systems Administrator of Andrews Distributing.
