Mobile device management provider MobileIron has just released MobileIron Version 5 with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) for iOS e-mail attachments and real-world scale for global deployments.
The new MobileIron Docs@Work solution is built on a highly scalable architecture supporting 100,000 devices per server that is fully configured with e-mail, apps, Wi-Fi, VPN, and certificates.
Touted as the industry’s only mobile DLP solution for iOS e-mail attachments, when leveraging this offering mobile IT can secure corporate e-mail attachments and prevent them from being uploaded to uncontrolled services such as Dropbox (News - Alert). The mobile device management solution not only protects iOS e-mail attachments, but also prevents unauthorized distribution of documents. In addition, corporate data can be stored and if needed, it can be selectively wiped out.
“Our customers are going big with mobile, but they worry about corporate documents ending up in the cloud,” said Ojas Rege, VP Strategy, MobileIron, in a statement. “MobileIronDocs@Work gives our customers the mobile DLP controls they need without sacrificing the native Apple (News - Alert) e-mail experience their end users know and love.”
“Combined with a massive increase in scale, MobileIron Version 5 breaks down the last barriers to the global deployment of iOS in large, regulated industries like financial services,” Rege added.
MobileIron Version 5 supports more than 100,000 devices on a single system. It can deliver gigabyte-sized apps without latency via MobileIron’s App Delivery Network and manage thousands of mobile certificates, while registering hundreds of devices simultaneously.
MobileIron helps organizations solve scalability issues associated with deploying mobile device management platforms.
“Most vendors put the burden of scale on their customers and force them to get more hardware, more software, and more staff,” Rege concluded. “This brute force method is expensive and unsustainable. MobileIron takes a completely different approach and solves real-world scale through innovations in the architecture of the underlying platform.”
MobileIron has recently revealed that it now supports half of the 10 largest law firms in the world and nearly a quarter of the 100 largest U.S firms. Within a period of just three months, the company has added 30 law firms as new customers.Want to learn more about the latest in communications and technology?
