By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Fiberlink, a provider of cloud-based mobile device management solutions for enterprises, has revealed that its MaaS360 solution is making significant improvements to the bottom line of small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

MaaS360 is touted as offering a comprehensive and integrated mobility management platform for smartphones, tablets and laptops (Windows and Mac).

Some Fiberlink customers have already seen considerable benefits from using the robust mobile device management and mobile application management offering including: reducing the cost of supporting mobile workers, simplifying IT management and streamlining regulatory compliance.

By leveraging MaaS360, Desert Schools Federal Credit Union (Desert Schools), an Arizona-based credit union, has cut down the time it takes to enroll devices from two hours to ten minutes. The company has not only cut device set up time by 92 percent but was also able to assign such mobile device management tasks to its service desk employees, thus reducing resource costs by 50 percent.

Additionally, Burr Pilger Mayer (BPM), an accounting and consulting firms on the West Coast has improved user satisfaction and productivity through the firm's Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy which can active employee’s mobile devices in minutes. MaaS360 is also helping Hawthorn Pharmaceuticals, a commercial stage specialty pharmaceutical company, push applications, documents, fixes and updates while tracking user installation in real-time. Sales reps can focus solely on revenue generation, without the distractions of device management.

This solution is highly scalable and easy to implement, so SMBs can implement it quickly and scale it as their demand grows. The platform allows companies to start small with no minimum device commitment, and easily expand as their device population grows.  MaaS360 also provides organizations with productivity enablement tools for application management and document collaboration.

"In today's challenging economy, SMBs need an efficient and affordable way to manage, secure and control company data while unlocking the productivity of BYOD-ers,” said Christopher Clark, president of Fiberlink, in a statement.

He concluded, “MaaS360's true cloud model and our commitment to service excellence for customers of all sizes enables us to offer an MDM solution that is quick to deploy and easy to use with significant time and cost savings."
