DMI and Samsung Mobile Partner to Provide Managed Mobility Services for Enterprise Customers

By Mandira Srivastava, TMCnet Contributor

DMI, a provider of mobile enterprise and big data solutions and services, has partnered with Samsung (News - Alert) Telecommunications America, LLC (Samsung Mobile) to provide enterprise managed mobility services.

Under the partnership, both companies will offer enterprises a portfolio of mobile security and management services to complement the deployment of Samsung Mobile smartphones and tablets.

Samsung Enterprise Services includes programs to support customers through the entire lifecycle of both Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and corporate liable mobile device deployments.

Jay Sunny Bajaj, founder and CEO of DMI, said, "Samsung is delivering the most exciting line of mobile devices in the world today. Until recently, many large enterprises have relied on legacy devices and technologies to address their security concerns. Today, end users have made it abundantly clear that they prefer Android (News - Alert) and especially Samsung devices. The dramatic mobile security enhancements made by Samsung, along with our services, will make Samsung the technology of choice, for both end users and enterprises."

Samsung security solutions and platforms, including Samsung Knox, for enterprise and government customers will thus be implemented by DMI immediately.

Samsung KNOX is a new Android-based solution specifically designed to enhance security of the current open source Android platform with hardware-based integrity monitoring, secure container technology to separate personal and business apps, smart card authentication, app level integrity management, and expanded MDM policy enforcement.

DMI is now positioned to better enhance the enterprise mobility experience for customers. DMI currently manages more than 500,000 devices worldwide, and has built over 400 mobile app solutions in the last twelve months for hundreds of commercial and Federal clients.

Tim Wagner, vice president and general manager of Samsung Mobile's Enterprise Business Unit, said in a statement,  ”With DMI, we are able to provide an enterprise-grade, full-service solution that will delight users while meeting the strict security requirements of IT managers and CIOs."
