The issue of mobile security management in today’s highly mobile, digitally-powered world is one not lightly to be tossed aside. Any business looking to have a hand in the social communications world now needs to consider the movement to mobility, and the folks over at Amtel (News - Alert) have helped tons of users take the necessary steps to ensure their business’ secure mobile operations.
In a conversation looking back on the progress that the company has made over the last year, Amtel’s CEO and President, PJ Gupta, conveyed the most important developments that Amtel focused on during 2011. Notably, the addition of mobile application management and “going deeper into the product” has enabled Amtel’s clients to take advantage of managing mobile security as part of “one organically-built system” according to Gupta.
“I think 2011 was a year of really a big change for us. Traditionally we had been in telecom expense management, and we moved to this new, integrated, telecom and mobile device management space,” Gupta stated. He also mentioned that Amtel has explored a “big push to expand globally” fanning out to Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Internally, Amtel worked on its own offerings to broaden its ability to reach customers that now need mobile services whereas perhaps a couple of years ago, they required less complex telecom expense management systems. Specifically, the one integrated system that Amtel created enables its clients to take advantage of one cost, and “they get the value of their money by getting all the features in one system,” mentioned Gupta.
Relaying the fact that Amtel has watched companies begin to develop their own apps as they broaden their reaches into different market sectors and technological bases, Gupta noted that Amtel recognized the requirement to move into mobile expense management to keep up with its clients on a global scale. “Apps are becoming a big piece of this entire mobility movement,” said Gupta.
Of course, with new and exciting developments come a host of challenges. “Mobile device management was more for elite companies, and now it is moving towards the mass market,” continued Gupta. “There is a push to have mobile security management in every company. We are adding a lot of innovative features, especially the combination of mobile and telecom device management.” Stand by the Mobile Security Management channel to stay tuned for all the exciting developments from Amtel in 2012!
