Mobile security management is emerging as a new business opportunity for service providers, especially those engaged in offering Internet and content security solutions.
ConnectWise (News - Alert), which develops service management software for IT service providers, VARs, ISVs and MSPs, recently formed a partnership with Trend Micro to integrate its endpoint, Web and e-mail security management products with ConnectWise solutions to deliver increased reporting, billing and service ticket automation.
ConnectWise's suite of business automation software and IT integration tools includes IT service software, quoting tools, application development and consulting.

Trend Micro's new platform includes cloud-based products and tools such as Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security Services, Trend Micro Hosted Email Security, Trend Micro Worry-Free Remote Manager, and the Licensing Management Platform.
The integration results in streamlined billing, centralized ticketing and enhanced executive summary report. To facilitate automated customer billing, the solution sends Trend Micro product-usage data to ConnectWise on a scheduled basis. Trend Micro products can automatically generate tickets within ConnectWise. Trend Micro statistical information is automatically included in the Executive Summary Report.
Security services including mobile security management help MSP partners increase recurring revenues, annuity streams, cash flow, and help MSP partners increase average deal sizes by offering additional Trend Micro solutions like Trend Micro Hosted Email Security.
