AirWatch, a provider of mobile security management, entered into an international partnership with Asian telecommunications group SingTel (News - Alert) toward the end of February. The Singapore-based company offers a wide range of multimedia and infocoms technology (ICT) solutions, such as voice, data and video services over both fixed and wireless connections.
“SingTel is a leading mobility and ICT player in Asia Pacific, offering a comprehensive suite of managed mobility services that cover mobile security, advance communications and collaboration, productivity tools and various mobile applications,” said Lee Han Kheng, vice president of global enterprise mobility at Singtel, in a statement. “We partner best-of-breed players in the ecosystem, such as AirWatch (News - Alert), to meet enterprise customers’ needs in mobile device management.”
While SingTel brings its extensive mobility experience to the table, AirWatch offers some of the best enterprise-grade mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management and mobile content management solutions available. Trusted by over 6,000 customers around the world, AirWatch's mobility management technology is powerful, but still easy to use, enabling management of mobile devices throughout their entire lifecycle.
Best of all, the AirWatch platform was developed to be multitenant, highly scalable and able to integrate with existing enterprise systems — while still being available via the cloud or on-premise. It's no surprise then that the company has been partnering with a lot of companies lately.
For example, earlier in March, AirWatch announced a partnership with Telstra Australia in which AirWatch's MDM will be bundled with voice and data services from Telstra (News - Alert) as a new service dubbed Telstra Mobile Device Management, or T-MDM. The new bundle is meant to allow customers to bundle MDM within their enterprise mobile data service, while still making it easy to deploy other apps and services.
At the beginning of February, AirWatch entered into a partnership with ForeScout Technologies, a company that delivers real-time, end-to-end network access control (NAC).
