Doug Makishima, Chief Operating Officer at D2 Technologies (News - Alert), a company with experience in the networking, mobile communications, and storage industries announced that he would be a panel speaker at the ITEXPO East 2012 on behalf of D2 Technologies.

Makishima is participating in a panel at the ITEXPO called “Make Your Smart Device Smarter on the Road,” beginning at 3 p.m. on February 3 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Matt Clark, Principal of Deloitte (News - Alert) Financial Advisory Services LLO will moderate a conversation between Makishima, Kayvan Alikhani, CEO of Litescape Technologies and Karil Reibold, CEO if Whaleback Managed Services. The panel plans to discuss the advances in mobile technologies that have enabled employees to maintain their standard of work even if they are unable to be in the office.

Makishima will probably discuss some of D2 Technologies services one being, mCUE. mCUE enables users to communicate using different platforms such as VoIP, video messaging, and instant messaging which is ideal for smartphones, MIDs, and netbooks.

“What we are really about is offering an enhanced communications experience. VoIP allows you to do is provide a better quality experience. A lot of people consider VoIP as a cost saving technology, which it can be used as such, but you can also add with IP Communications other layers of communication such as video. Video is very hot, very exciting,” said Makishima during an interview with Craig Peterson.

Makishima said D2 Technologies is layered with multi-features of communications specifically for the iPhone (News - Alert) and Android phone users to be able to connect with other devices making any enterprise more efficient. “For example, here with me I brought a 4G mobile-based Android (News - Alert) smartphone. It’s very similar to the iPhone 4. One of the main differences is this is a true IP communications device; Mobile 4G, 100 percent VoIP – video, instant messages over the Internet. All of that functionality comes from D2,” said Makishima.

Expect to hear more from D2 Technologies, Litescape Technologies and Whaleback Manages Services on the future of mobile technology during the panel on Friday, February 3.
