SplashData Announces Availability of SplashID Safe, Windows Phone Version

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

SplashData, a developer of security applications for smartphones, released the Windows phone version of its SplashID Safe, allowing users to efficiently manage passwords from multiple platforms.

SplashData’s SplashID Safe for Windows and Mac OS lets users easily view and edit their sensitive personal information on their desktop computer and synchronize with their iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry (News - Alert) and Android phone – wirelessly.

With the release of the new Windows version, the SplashID Safe is now available on every major smartphone and tablet platform.

For IT managers, SplashID will provide powerful control for the centralized administration of password and security policies across various departments and employee groups throughout an enterprise. It allows an organization to use stronger password management practices without compromising security or increasing costs.

By installing the enterprise version of the SplashID Safe, according to SplashData, companies can significantly reduce the risk of information stolen via password exposure, including data loss, legal costs, the loss of customers and the loss of employee productivity.

The Windows Phone (News - Alert) version of SplashID Safe synchronizes wirelessly with new Windows and Mac desktop versions. It makes use of dual encryption with 256-bit AES and 256-bit Blowfish layers for security, and it is flexible enough to handle unlimited number of records and types of information.

Users also have the option to store confidential info and earmark it for easy and secure daily access.

“Our goal is to support our users at home and at the office no matter what kind of devices they have or how many devices they have,” commented Morgan Slain, CEO at SplashData. “The launch of our new Windows Phone version was much anticipated in the Windows community given our long history of supporting Windows Mobile devices. With our universal Wi-Fi sync, users can manage their SplashID Safe data from multiple devices, for example between an iPad tablet, a Windows Phone device, and a PC.”
