Dialogic Corporation, a global provider of products and technologies designed for multimedia and signal processing is celebrating a recent victory. The company’s Dialogic (News - Alert) IMG 1010 Integrated Media Gateway has been tested and verified compliant with Avaya Voice Portal and related Avaya Aura infrastructure solutions from Avaya.
A carrier-grade VoIP gateway, the IMG 1010 supports both media and signaling in a single chassis. A power player in enterprise communications systems, software and services, Avaya (News - Alert) has compliance-tested the solution with Avaya Voice Portal and SIP infrastructure built with Avaya Aura Session Manager, Avaya Aura Communication Manager Access Element and Avaya Aura Communications Manager Feature Server. Benefits are already being measured in call center environments in various regions as a result of the interoperability of Dialogic and Avaya solutions.
Such interoperability enables businesses to connect between SUP applications and subscribers on SS7, ISDN and CAS mobile and wireline networks. The Dev Connect program is an initiative to develop market and sell innovative, third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology. A gold member of the DevConnect (News - Alert) program, Dialogic is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab.
“Dialogic is very pleased to achieve DevConnect compliance between our IMG 1010 gateway and Avaya’s Voice Portal application utilizing Avaya Aura network components,” said Harold Klett, vice president and general manager of the service provider market group for Dialogic, in a company statement. “The market for cloud-based hosted services is accelerating and the combination of the IMG 1010 and Avaya Aura infrastructure enables enterprises utilizing such services to easily connect and interact with their mobile and wireline customers.”
Within the test lab, a team of Avaya engineers develop a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. This process ensures a company can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure. As a result, they are able to speed the deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
”Dialogic’s IMG 1010 integrated media gateway helps partners using Avaya’s Voice Portal and Avaya Aura SIP infrastructure to connect to customers on a variety of different wireless and wireline networks including those supporting SS7, ISDN and CAS protocols,” said Eric Rossman (News - Alert), vice president, developer relations, Avaya. “This kind of support enables Avaya to meet the needs of customers using both IP and circuit-based networks.”
In other Dialogic news, TMC (News - Alert) recently that the Dialogic Brooktrout SR140 Fax Software can send industry standard V.34 – Super G3 Fax – traffic using ITU-T recommendation T.38 via the Cisco 2821 Integrated Services Router. With V.34 standard, users can send and receive faxes at twice the speed of other devices that only support V.17. According to company officials, Brooktrout SR140 provides FoIP capabilities for integrating fax servers and fax document management solutions with VoIP networks.
Avaya is a speaker at ITEXPO West 2010 at the LA Convention Center. To be held October 4-6, the ITEXPO is the world's premiere IP communications event.
