In a bid to allow their customers, developers and employees to connect and share their ideas on creating communications solutions, Dialogic (News - Alert) Corporation, has announced an all new social networking community the “Dialogic Exchange Network (DEN).

With this new site, the company is hoping to open communications that will foster exciting new solutions and business relationships.

“In addition to corporate blogs, technical forums and media downloads, you can also get up-to-date service and support news from Dialogic and be the first to know about the hottest industry trends,” said Dialogic’s senior vice president of marketing, Jim Machi.”

Along with this launch, the company has also announced an Innovator Award Contest, a global competition challenging application developers to create new apps built on Dialogic components.

 

The company said they are looking for the most innovative new product or best application that shows a new and unique way to solve a current problem.

 

The contest will run from April 20, 2009 through September 30, 2009 and is open to application developers worldwide who are “ready to trial, go to market with or have recently deployed an exciting new application built on one or more Dialogic components.”

 

Winners will be provided with a one-year full service support contract as well as free publicity, a joint marketing opportunity with Dialogic and a $5000 credit for future Dialogic product purchases.

 

Commenting on the new contest offering, Machi said, “Each year we see so many great new solutions built on Dialogic products, so we thought it was time to award application developers who create the ‘most innovative’ solutions.”

 

Joining Machi to judge the contest entries will be TMC’s (News - Alert) President & Group Editor in Chief, Rich Tehrani; Doug Mohney, Editor in Chief, Telecom and Digital Media Group at FierceMarkets and Bertrand Gatellier, President, VMA - International Association for Enhanced Voice Services.

Earlier this month, Dialogic made headlines with the announcement that its 2000 Media Gateway Series (DMG2000) is now certified for interoperability with IBM Sametime Unified Telephony. The interoperability will make it possible for enterprise users to easily enable UC applications even in legacy PBX (News - Alert) environments.
