Touted as an IT services organization that has years of experience in powering both data and video services, Hughes (News - Alert) Cloud Services recently revealed that it has formed a partnership with Level 3 Communications in an effort to enhance its service level agreements (SLAs) and up the ante on the performance of its cloud services portfolio.
Complete with Level 3’s extremely reliable Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network, companies within every industry can benefit from this collaborative project by feeling much more satisfied when leveraging the cloud for multiple objectives as well as cutting costs dramatically by being able to rid themselves of long-haul private lines once and for all.
"With the increasing demand for cloud-based solutions for mission-critical applications, and the need to move large amounts of data safely and reliably, enterprises require not only the flexibility of cloud solutions, but also the peace of mind of knowing that hosting services will perform when needed most," said Andrew Crouch, Level 3's regional president of North America Sales, in a statement. "Level 3's hardened, secure IP network delivers the efficiency, security and reliability needed to support customers' requirements and the safekeeping of their sensitive data and applications."
HCS will leverage various network monitoring services and technologies powered by Level 3, assisting the organization in much more closely analyzing the status and health of its network overall. The company’s customer portal will also expand and encompass many more capabilities than it previously.
"HCS is excited by this relationship with Level 3, as it brings to market a compelling value-added service enabling end-to-end support for mission-critical applications and content," added Jose Albino, director of Operations and Compliance of Hughes Cloud Services. "Our customers will benefit from unparalleled cloud connectivity options and user experience for their most important business needs."
Another company deeply rooted in improving the overall user experience as well as providing next-generation managed services including MPLs is UNSi or United Network Services. By offering dynamic and controlled Internet access, this MPLs network ensures that 24/7/365 operations of business-critical applications remain intact under any circumstances.
Some of the MPLS key features include: a reduced total cost of ownership that is seen through seamlessly integrating data, voice and video; a high level of security; enhanced scalability and flexibility of IP networks; and an innovative disaster recovery solution powered by UNSi’s failover backbone.
