With flow packets, NetFlow analyzers can quickly uncover information including source IP addresses, destination IP addresses, source port numbers, destination port numbers, protocol types, types of services and the router input interfaces.
Although there is no question that flexible NetFlow and IPFIX are extremely helpful solutions, a huge obstacle to overcome when leveraging this toolset is seen when a business doesn’t have the in-house expertise needed to take full advantage of this improved network monitoring offering.
Luckily, Plixer is here to save the day, as the company is touted as an organization that works alongside organizations to much more easily implement this type of software and hardware. Boasting experienced programmers, the NetFlow provider has successfully worked in conjunction with hundreds of companies in project involving using NetFlow and IPFIX agents, exporting templates and working with related RFCs, and gathering and organizing sFlow, NetFlow, IPFIX, jFlow, NetStream and other crucial analytics,
According to customer Richard L., "On occasion you get to meet someone on the phone that cares about customer service and their product. I had the wonderful opportunity to speak to Michael for a problem that Milton and I were having with scrutinizer. Michael showed me how to use Scrutinizer to find the virus that was running wild on my network. He also passed along information of his own knowledge of this virus and allowed me to find better resources to fight my problem. Scrutinizer and Michael are incredible resources. I just wanted you to know I am thankful they are a part of your organization."
Last week, TMCnet had the news that Plixer has joined hands with Enterasys to showcase its NetFlow analysis tool Scrutinizer 9.0 at Interop (News - Alert) Las Vegas, which is currently underway until from May 10, 2012. To read the full report, click here.
