Rescheduled Event Date for Billy the Artist and American Red Cross Donation
ITASCA, Ill. --(Business Wire)--
Superstorm Sandy left a wake of destruction and heartbreak in its path
across the northeastern coastline of the U.S., but the unbreakable
spirit of those impacted by this disaster continues to shine as a source
of strength and inspiration. As we approach Valentine's Day, Enesco and
Billy the Artist are joining forces with the American Red Cross to
distribute Billy the Artist knitwear to these same families in a show of
support and neighborly love.
Billy the Artist, an internationally renowned artist and New York
native, will be on-site at the Borough of Union Beach municipal building
on Saturday, February 16th at 1 pm, to help distribute his
designer knitware to those families in need of warmth and a splash of
much-needed color over the wintery Valentine's holiday. In the past,
Billy the Artist has painted murals of hope and inspiration for children
all over te world, and it's in this same tradition of giving that Billy
is donating his time and life-affirming products to lift the spirits
(and warm the bodies) of his fellow coastline neighbors.
Enesco is proud of its association with such a remarkable and unique
talent as Billy the Artist, and together they hope to make a small but
positive difference in the hearts of those individuals who are
rebuilding their homes and lives in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.
