MSC HT Selects Visual Network Systems' Network Performance Manager

The Mediterranean Shipping Company Home Terminal (MSC (News - Alert) HT) has selected Visual Network Systems’ Visual Performance Manager solution to manage overall service quality, improve visibility and reduce the time to troubleshoot performance issues across its Terminal Operation Systems (TOS) and existing and new application implementations.  

Officials with Visual Network said that Visual Performance Manager provides an independent view of the overall performance of MSC HT's TOS, enabling faster problem isolation, troubleshooting and lessening the risk of service impacting performance-related issues.

"Managing the requirements for the TOS application across two datacenters, six physical distribution locations and 130 access switches is extremely difficult because it is made up of different components ranging from aspects like desktops, cameras for number plate recognition and container damage, badge readers and thin clients, just to name a few," said Tamara Lievens, ICT infrastructure manager, MSC HT, in a statement.  

“The Visual Network Systems' solution provides us with an independent view across the entire application, so we were able to quickly pinpoint the problem area and fix it instead of wasting time going back and forth between departments," said Lievens.
