AppNeta, a provider of cloud-based network performance management, and Artisan Infrastructure, the wholesale infrastructure-as-a-service provider, have announced a strategic partnership.

The partnership is expected to bring managed service providers (MSPs) and value-added resellers (VARs) unmatched insight into customer network and application performance.

“The partnership with AppNeta offers our MSP and VAR customers performance insight that they don’t have today,” said Steve Williams, vice president of corporate development at Artisan Infrastructure (News - Alert).

With AppNeta’s PathView Cloud service, service providers can pre-assess, monitor and troubleshoot customer network problems and performance challenges of business-critical application performance for VoIP, video conferencing, virtualization and IP storage and backup.

Mark Kruger, CEO at Virtutel Services, said that the PathView cloud service offered by this partnership will allow Virtutel Services to provide a best in class, real time and historical, performance management information reflecting all points of the local area network and in the cloud.

The PathView cloud service allows Virtutel Services to eliminate the need for dedicated MPLS circuits for deployment of voice, virtualized and hosted solutions, Kruner said, adding that bandwidth in the cloud and the performance of bandwidth for voice in the cloud can now be monitored and diagnosed reliably.

Additionally, as partners, Artisan Infrastructure and AppNeta offer managed service providers the visibility they need to quickly identify problems and understand network performance metrics that directly impact business productivity and application success.

“With PathView Cloud in Artisan Infrastructure’s Certified Solution Ecosystem, our customers have the ability to not only find and fix WAN performance problems quickly, but they can easily build a new recurring revenue service with continuous network performance monitoring,” Williams said.

This year in September, AppNeta announced a new network and application assessment features for PathView Cloud – giving network engineers and managed service providers the ability to generate and analyze actual VoIP traffic on a production network without using software agents or application infrastructure.
