Tanaza Unveils WiFi Network Management with Innovative Cloud Control Service

In an effort to make WiFi (News - Alert) networking easy for system integrators and small businesses, Tanaza, a provider of cloud-based services to manage WiFi Access Points, announced the latest product -- Cloud Control 1.7--that allows for remote management of an expanded list of WiFi access points.

Cloud Control 1.7 allows IT managers and Small Businesses to have enterprise level WiFi management, at a fraction of the cost, according to company officials.

"WiFi access has added so much to our business and personal lives. Yet for many organizations and companies, managing the access points to make this possible is still time-consuming and expensive. We are on a mission to fix that using cloud technologies," said Sebastiano Bertani, CEO of Tanaza, in a statement.

The service provides centralized management of WiFi Access Points, without any additional expenditure on expensive dedicated hardware controllers. Additionally the service includes multi-vendor support that simplifies management of existing equipment.

To serve customers by offering a scalable, reliable and secure solution, Tanaza has partnered with industry leaders Google and Amazon. Tanaza's solution is also compatible with a large variety of industry-standard devices from Netgear, Ubiquiti, D-Link (News - Alert) and TP-LINK.

The Tanaza Cloud Controller can reach Access Points through an agent, smoothly installed onto a laptop or server within the user's Local Area Network (LAN). System integrators can easily perform tasks such as configuring SSID settings of many Access Points with one click; providing WiFi access to visitors with temporary SSID to all access points with just one click.

Other features include a centralized Web user interface as well as the ability to monitor and configure access points remotely and create multiple SSIDs, such as public and employees, with different security settings.

 "Tanaza Cloud Controller allows you to configure and monitor virtually any WiFi Access Point (News - Alert) model, thanks to our compatible technology: once you apply a configuration to an Access Point, Tanaza automatically translates the configuration into the language of the specific model and translates it to the device," said Bertani.

Tanaza 1.7.0 adds the compatibility of four new Ubiquiti (News - Alert) models to the portfolio: NanoStation2, PicoStation2, NanoStationM2, NanoStation Loco M2. It also adds three TP-Link models: WA5110G, WA501G, WA501G, which can be added and configured through Tanaza's centralized Web interface.

 A recent article highlights the different types of problems that can develop within a network.  Network diagramming solutions can help address most of these problems.
