While there are several tools available for network diagramming and network management, the integration between these tools has been challenging. However, companies have started realizing the need for integrated network management and are turning to solutions that offer a single platform for network control along with deep visibility into the overall user experience.
Exinda, a provider of network optimization and network diagramming solutions to help organizations manage the bandwidth-intensive applications continuously being introduced to corporate networks, has just unveiled several significant enhancements to its network optimization suite.
The revamped portfolio now combines robust functionalities including: WAN optimization, network control and application monitoring into an integrated solution designed to meet the growing requirements of midmarket enterprises and educational institutions.
Exinda's 6.4 Network Optimization Suite delivers improved business continuity to midmarket enterprises, allowing them to cluster multiple Exinda appliances in high availability and load balanced environments. In addition to this capability, the network optimization solution delivers faster optimization of SMBv2 and MAPI traffic, enabling large file transfers to take place among users in different branch locations. Also, its new SSL capabilities make it easier for companies to leverage SSL applications such as Sharepoint.
With richer application visibility, Exinda appliances are now capable of creating a baseline Application Performance Score (APS) by monitoring application traffic for an hour, a day or a week. The new Layer 7 Application Signatures and protocols even allow network managers to identify user traffic and create policies to control traffic in popular applications such as LinkedIn (News - Alert), Adobe Creative Cloud, SkyDrive and Google Drive.
Recently R&R Foods, Europe's largest ice cream manufacturer for take home products, implemented Exinda's network optimization suite. The company turned to Exinda after its previous network experienced issues with bandwidth congestion.
Commenting on this deployment Jonathan Aldred, group IT infrastructure manager for R&R, said, "With Exinda's Network Optimization Suite in place, we were able to achieve measurable improvements in application response times, while stemming recreational traffic. The reporting and management capabilities of this all-in-one solution have allowed us to gain overall better control of our network."
