ShoreTel Looks to Build Client Base in Finance Industry

ShoreTel (News - Alert), a provider of phone systems and unified communications solutions, recently announced that it plans to develop a client base in finance industry, and has built a dedicated team to deliver solutions for banking and credit union industries. The company has also been accepted into the American Bankers Association (ABA) and the California Bankers Association.
Under its new vertical, ShoreTel will offer unified communications solutions to the finance sector. The company claims that its clients in finance can implement an IP PBX (News - Alert) business phone system with advanced unified communications features to empower their bank customers and credit union members. ShoreTel says that its solutions will help the clients offer customers self-service options that can give them the answers they need, faster. The customers will have flexible, intelligent IVR and auto attendant features with call routing, queuing and messaging options that can be easily adapted to accommodate variable hours, staffing and call volume levels.
"With more than 1,000 banking, credit union and financial customers and our existing partner community selling into these segments, ShoreTel understands the unique needs of these customers and resellers," said Shane Harper, director of vertical programs at ShoreTel. "Now we have a formal team in place, and are broadening our reach through association memberships and industry events. We continue to deliver innovative products that address the changing needs of the financial industry, with strong disciplines in contact centers, multi-site deployments, business continuity planning, and business process integration. In particular, we are increasing product development and integration with industry-specific software and security programs."
ShoreTel recently unveiled a new cloud partner program to enable its partners to offer clients its ShoreTel Sky suite of cloud-based VoIP services. ShoreTel has worked with its partners on a cloud program that fits with various levels of cloud sales experience. The program, part of ShoreTel’s broader Champion Partner Program, includes three different levels depending on how experienced the reseller is with the cloud.
