VoiceServe Intros New Version of Vippie Mobile Dialer for iPhones

VoiceServe has introduced a new version of Vippie mobile dialer for iPhones that supports video calling to other iPhone users as well as to any session initiation protocol (SIP) device.

Developed by Voipswitch for video conferencing, the application is expected to lower the bandwidth usage to as little as 140Kb/s.

Michael Bibelman, CEO at Voiceserve, said that during 2010, our 90 person engineering team in Poland was highly productive launching 19 new modules, enhancing the company’s core VoIP software offering. “Our software continues to lead the market in new voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) applications.”

He said that the company is the first to market with the VoIP video conferencing for iPhone (News - Alert) feature as a module, which will support other SIP users. “To date, most smart cell phones can benefit from the broad array of the Voipswitch modules, including numerous convenience features such as conferencing, call forwarding, call waiting and texting, to name a few.”

With this latest introduction, “we are beginning our VoIP video service and, in future releases, we plan to add support for higher resolution video and support for additional compression systems,” Bibelman said.

The application is available in Apple’s App Store under the name Vippie Video Softphone.

VoiceServe is a software platform provider focusing primarily on delivering affordable, complete, next generation services to Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Providers (ITSPs). The products include VoipSwitch, a custom modular all-in-one VoIP management platform licensing solution for resellers; VoIP airtime minutes bundled with optional convenient features, including virtual numbers, direct dial, web callback, and call forwarding; IP-PBX (News - Alert); and mobile softphone, and video technologies.

Last year in August, VoiceServe’s wholly-owned subsidiary, VoipSwitch, introduced Vippie softphone dialer for Apple (News - Alert) iPhones, iPods and iPads.
