The Importance of Emergency Dialing System Technology

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk, Content Management

When it comes to relaying important notifications, most field offices are overwhelmed by the need to get emergency teams and equipment in place to manually dial to make notifications, especially, when lives, property and other important factors are at risk.

For this reason, Emergency Preparedness offices and First Responders are turning in record numbers to emergency alert broadcasting tools like OPC Marketing's E.O.S.A Dialing System. EOSA stands for “Emergency Operations SpitFire AutoDialer,” and is based on the award winning SpitFire autodialer technology.
The E.O.S.A emergency dialing tools from OPC are not only crucial in life-threatening matters, but also offer the fastest most efficient way of communicating basic jobs like alerting personnel, evacuating cities or neighborhoods and even for scheduling needs.
A recent Internet Poll during a statewide online Web-based conference stated that the number one concern of Homeland Securities Emergency Operations Management was a fear of not being able to communicate effectively during a natural or manmade disaster. EOSA is a tool that overcomes any obstacle in communications, in any type of emergency.
With the system, computerized dialing based on databases and pre-planned scenarios automate messages to be broadcast to more people, and in a faster time than manually dialing each caller. It is even possible to connect to the dialer over the Internet from hundreds of miles away, or by dialing a phone number sequence to get the dialer broadcasting.
Emergency operations dialers are significant because they have the ability to dial a preset number of emergency contacts planned out for when emergency situations occur. With an emergency dialer, managers have real-time feedback of the operations and can rest assured that all means were used in communicating whenever a disaster strikes.
The technology provided by emergency dialer systems make communication faster and easier than ever before and replaces the need for new employees to manually dial callers when the time it takes to do that, could mean life or death.
These systems are capable of dialing an entire city and relaying information within 30 minutes and are also called Reverse 911 systems. They are even used by businesses to get employees and inventory out of harms way. The emergency dialing systems also play a key role in receiving incoming calls to direct people to more information after a catastrophe including, where to go to get medical attention and aid.
