RedPhone App with Predictive Dialer Capability Now Open Source on Android Devices

By Jamie Epstein, TMCnet Web Editor

Predictive dialers are extremely useful in communicating an important message to a large group of people in a short period of time and more applications are continuing to be unveiled that boast this robust dialer functionality. Just recently, it was revealed that the RedPhone app for Android (News - Alert) will now be open source, meaning that end-to-end encryption is possible for any calls made within the solution.

A recent article featured on Geek.com explained,” Getting up and running is as easy as installing the beta app in the Play Store. You will register a RedPhone account with your device’s mobile number and nothing else. The app has its own integrated dialer and contact manager based on the open Android dialer.”

However, in order for this encryption to work successfully, users that are attempting to connect with another user must both leverage the RedPhone solution.

“If you try to place a call to a non-RedPhone user, the app will ask if you want to send them an invite to the service. You can still proceed, but there’s very little point if security is what you crave,” the piece added.

After all, isn’t a dialer virtually useless without ensuring the people both using it and being contacted by it are safe from an array of cyber threats? When receiving an incoming call, the device will ring similar to the action taken with a normal call. However, these safeguarded calls will be managed solely via RedPhone servers.

With plans to make the offering open source, developers all over the globe will surely be intrigued as they can now leverage it to and then add in their own innovative functionalities.

No one knows the benefits of a predictive dialer better than SpitFire, a company that works with major companies including Online YellowPages.com, Allstate, Wells Fargo (News - Alert), ADP, and Dole just to name a few. The company’s dialer is best-in- class, is extremely flexible, and very easy to use.

With the Spitfire Enterprise Predictive dialer, the cost of owning is extremely cost-effective. At a onetime cost of $650 per agent, the on premise-based solution breaks even in as little as six months. Live technical support, updates and upgrades are also included at no additional cost.

To communicate with both current and prospective customers without delay, consider implementing a dialer now before it is too late and competitors are way ahead of you.
