Predictive Dialers' Versatility Underlined by List Inclusion

By David Sims, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Recently PCQuest published a list titled "18 Ways to Communicate Effectively," including such products as WebCam Looker 4.4 ("WebCam Looker is an easy to use and powerful video surveillance system for monitoring and broadcasting images of your home/office or mobile phone") and VoxOx 2 - "This service unifies all of your communication channels voice, video, IM, text, social media, e-mail, fax and content sharing into a single interface."

It also included MDLsolutions (News - Alert) Dialer -Predictive Dialer, a free to try product, calling it "a Win based dynamic SIP/VoIP dialer with a SQL database that can meet needs of a call center, or act as a stand alone automated dialer processing dialing scripts."

That's not a surprise, given the versatility of predictive dialers.
Utah-based Bonneville Billing & Collections officials say  the company uses a predictive dialer system to handle its medical and utility accounts for the Western region of the United States, for clients "in Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming," said Jim Eastwood, Dialer Manager for Bonneville.

Bonneville divides its accounts into three stages, using different features of CT Center for the first two stages. In stage one, Eastwood, who never gets called "Clint," says collectors work accounts with CT Center's predictive dialer.

"Our agents are on Predictive Dialing all day long, every day," said Eastwood.

And while predictive dialing isn't generally thought of as a critical life-saving tool, but it can be used to help minimize the loss of life during natural disasters.

A mass telephone dialing system "is being implemented in Platte and Boone counties to alert area residents of emergencies such as potential flooding," according to  the Columbus Telegraph.

The Emergency Notification System is "a geographically driven telephone alerting system that can be used to mass dial residents during developing emergency situations, according to information released by Columbus Police and local emergency response officials," the newspaper reported.
