Syniverse (News - Alert), which makes mobile work for more than 900 mobile operators, cable and Internet providers, and enterprises in over 160 countries, claims to have established industry's first comprehensive Long Term Evolution (LTE (News - Alert)) Hub.

Officials with Syniverse said that the LTE Hub gives operators rapid access to full LTE and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) interoperability and interworking required for 4G voice and data roaming.

According to company officials, the Hub also provides advanced customer care, wholesale billing and messaging services to ensure these next-generation networks deliver the seamless experience end users demand.

Gordon said that for end users, the most important factor is that these networks interoperate with each other and interwork with supporting Wi-Fi and legacy cellular networks to offer the ubiquitous coverage to which mobile users have become accustomed.

Company officials said that the path to full-fledged LTE interoperability and interworking begins with the Syniverse PRIME IP Packet eXchange Network Solution (IPX), which provides a carrier-grade, five-nines connection to Syniverse via a global all-IP network that is fully enabled to deliver the quality and class of service required for LTE.

With this single connection, which currently connects more than 80 operators worldwide, operators gain immediate access to Syniverse's full suite of 4G solutions.
