The SafeNet (News - Alert) Sentinel Licensing Development Kit has been honored with a 2013 CODiE award as the best digital rights management solution. As TMCnet has highlighted previously, the Sentinel LDK provides a monetization solution that lets publishers protect software, increase revenue and improve end-user experiences, the company said.
The award was given by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), a large trade association for the software and digital content sectors.
The award for the Sentinel LDK is the third time the Sentinel product line has won a CODiE Award. Sentinel Cloud Services won in 2012 and Sentinel HASP won in 2008 – both for the DRM Solution category.
“It’s a great honor to be recognized by the SIIA and our industry peers with another CODiE Award for the Sentinel family of software monetization solutions,” Michelle Nerlinger, vice president of Marketing for SafeNet’s Software Monetization division, stated. “Sentinel LDK is a cutting-edge solution for protecting software and maximizing the intrinsic value of its IP. We help software developers make the most of what they’ve created.”
SafeNet was started in 1983, and has grown to become a large global information security company. It has more than 25,000 customers in enterprises and government agencies, in over 100 nations. These include: Citigroup, Banamex, Bank of America, Gap, Netflix, Starbucks, Johnson and Johnson, Kaiser Permanente, Cisco, Dell, and Hewlett-Packard (News

The CODiE Awards are peer-reviewed, with nominees selected by the media, publishing and information services, bankers and investors.
SIIA Vice President Kathy Greenler Sexton stated that, “We are especially pleased with the high caliber of this year’s CODiE Award winners. The products selected as finalists stand as a testament to the dedication finalist companies have not only to meet, but also to exceed their customer and partner expectations.”
