ExactTarget announced its next generation of integration with Salesforce.com (News
- Alert) which will offer joint clients the ability to power and manage targeted and automated e-mail marketing directly from Salesforce.com.
The solution was unveiled in Dreamforce Global Gathering 2010 Conference, the Salesforce.com’s annual customer conference and cloud computing exhibition.
According to ExactTarget sources the integration is built on Force.com platform and it enables marketers to send ExactTarget-powered e-mails to or with any data element within Salesforce.com; connect multiple Salesforce accounts to a single ExactTarget account, and also improve flexibility through configuration options, roles and permissions and data storage.
In a release Scott Roth, senior director of partner marketing and alliances at ExactTarget said, “With ExactTarget’s next generation of integration with Salesforce.com, marketers can unlock the power of their Salesforce data to create automated email marketing programs tailored specifically to the unique needs, preferences and languages of customers or prospects around the world.”
The suite of ExactTarget-Salesforce.com integrations are certified by Salesforce.com AppExchange 2 and it can now power the data-driven marketing campaigns of more than 1,000 clients worldwide, said official sources.
It was also revealed that the expanded Salesforce.com-ExactTarget integration is due to ExactTarget becoming more popular on Salesforce.com AppExchange 2, Salesforce.com’s cloud computing marketplace.
ExactTarget unveiled a new integration in September 2010, which allows organizations to turn Twitter conversations into sales leads and customer service cases in Salesforce using ExactTarget’s enterprise social media platform CoTweet.
ExactTarget provides on-demand e-mail marketing and interactive marketing solutions. The company’s Interactive Marketing Hub technology provides organizations a single solution to connect with customers via e-mail, integrated text messaging, landing pages and social media.
The technology leveraged by ExactTarget is supported by collaborative global services teams, and it integrates with more sales and marketing information systems when compared to Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Omniture (News
